Characters:

Billy- Billy is a brave person who made a bet with alan to eat 15 worms.

Alan- Alan made the bet with Billy but was a cheater after several atemtps to cheat Billy out of the bet.

Joe- Joe was the person in charge of getting the worms and preparing them he was a sly person who also made the cheating plans  

Tom- Tom was there to encourage Billy to eat the worms he was most deffinetly a coward because when everybody was trying to get him to eat the worm he ran away.

 

Setting:

The main setting the the book was Billy's house which is 2 storysand Billy's old horse barn which only had hay and pigs. It was also set of the barn and just all over the fields.

 

Plot:

Joe, Alan, Billy and Tom are good friends, but after a bet is made to eat 15 worms in 15 days the cheating begins. Billy's nightmare comes true and he begins to get stomach pains which leads him to believe that he has been poisoned. As more cheating begins, Billy and Tom wake up everybody in the town that Joe and Alan live in to show that cheating is not allowed. A fight breaks out with the boys over who is cheating. Alan trys to throw Billy down a pit to try to stop him from eating the 15th worm but fails and only locks him in a closet in the barn. Billy gets sent up to his room after Billy's dad found out this was happaning. Billy thinks that he has lost the bet but then he sees Peter (Tom's younger brother). Tom distracts Billy's mom peter throws up the worm in to Billy's room, Billy quickly eats the worm and wins the bet. Billy buys a mini bike with the winnings, Billy also gets hooked on worms.

 

Point of View:

The point of view in this story was 3rd person omniscient wich means it is told by an outside perspective. The narrator knows everyone feelings. One example of this would be "He and Alan and Joe where wandering around behind the barn at billys house.

 

Theme:

The theme of this book was cheating is not a fair, it is also not how you win. This is shown when Alan and Joe try to cheat by making Billy go to sleep this plan does not work and Billy still eats the worm and wins the bet.
